Notes

The Chronostat III deck watches were tested for the first time with the new rules specially set out for battery-powered chronometers. Eight Chronostat III deck watches were presented for the contest, six of which were successful and were bought by the Navy. Two others were accepted although not fully successful, and had to be adjusted by the maker. Only two were refused.
