Two-body, ?Directoire?, split-pearl-set bezel, the back finely painted with an oval scene of a courting couple seated in an Arcadian landscape, within a paillon frame on a translucent blue guilloché enamel ground, split-pearl-set border. Hinged frosted gilt metal cuvette. D. White enamel, upright Arabic numerals, outer minute/seconds divisions. Gold ?ovoid? hands. M. 43 mm., engraved gilt brass, standing barrel, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Diam. 51 mm.
