?Diamond Snowflake? John Marie, London, No. 6023. London hallmarks for 1794-95. Very fine and rare, quarter-repeating, 22K gold and enamel, diamond and pearl-set pocket watch with outer protective case and a gold and enamel chatelaine.

Outer: two-body, gold, protective with glazed back, inner: three-body, ?consular?, the back in translucent Imperial blue enamel over ?sunburst? engine-turning with applied diamondset rosette in the center, pearl-set bezels, fixed gold cuvette. Chatelaine: graduated oval and circular panels with filigree decoration, two tassels, two keys and an urn-shaped seal en suite. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute dot divisions. Diamond-set ?arrowhead? hands. M. 42 mm (19???), hinged, frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock, silver regulation disc, repeating on bell activated by depressing the pendant. Movement signed. Diam. 58 mm.
