Exceptionally fine and rare 18K yellow gold quarter repeating double-train hunting-cased pocket watch with independent dead seconds and Charles Oudin?s patented Mnemonique dial on the cuvette for remembering a single event or rendezvous.

Four-body, all hinged, "bassine et filets", engine-turned cover with coat of arms, engine-turned back with elaborate initials "MS", gold hinged cuvette, with enamel Arabic chapter rings for the hour and the date. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute/seconds. Gold steel "spade" hands. M. 43 mm. (18.5'''), frosted gilt, two barrels, 40 jewels, lateral lever escapement with counterpoise, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band, start stop pusher in the band at 8.30 for the independent seconds. Cuvette signed in blue enamel for Charles Oudin. Movement signed under the dial for P. Sandoz & fils. Diam 48 mm. Property of an Italian Gentleman
