Courvoisier & Comp., Swiss, circa 1810. Very fine 18 ct. gold, quarter repeating, skeletonized automaton watch.

C. Three body Directoire, polished with invisible hinges and fixed bezel. Glazed gilt brass hinged cuvette. D. White enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals. Applied on the skeletonized front plate, fine three coloured gold scene after Lafontaine, depicting Fox and the Crow, on each side, a monkey and a boy strike the hours and quarters. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Skeletonized, gilt brass full plate, with going barrel, cylinder escapement, plain brass three armed balance, flat balance spring. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant, with visible repeating work set on the back plate. Signed on the dial and the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 62 mm.
