De Burge A Blois, circa 1625 A fine and rare gilt metal and smoky rock crystal watch of octagonal form with original gilt protecting case.

Two piece frame, the borders engraved with filigree foliage pattern, the back with octogonal smoky rock crystal facetted panel and matching hinged cover, the panel secured by claws with trefoil leaf pendant and securing latch. D. Oval dial plate the centre engraved with an urban scene, Roman hour chapters and half hour divisions, the border with summer flowers, single bluedsteel arrow point hand. M. Oval gilt plates, turned balluster pillars, fusee with gut, short train verge escapement, plain steel balance without spring, irregular foliage pierced cock secured by a pin, ratchet wheeel setup with foliate engraved click and blued-steel spring and wheel. In good condition with some restorations.. Dims. 50 x 29 mm.
