C. Double body, Louis XV, multifaceted, rock-crystal with gold mounting. Shark skin covered glazed protecting outer case. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring, the gilt center with chased and green enamelled decoration. Blued steel Louis XV hands. M. GiIt brass, full plate with baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three armed balance, flat balance spring, typical continental Louis XV gilt brass cock and garnet end-stone. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 52 mm.

The style of this dial is typical of that used in the second part of the XVlllth. century, by a Swiss maker, working for the Islamic market, who was signing his production by the name of the celebrated Julien Le Roy
