C. Polished. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, fine enamelled moon phase and subsidiary dials for date, day and month. Blued steel heart hands. M. Gilt brass full plate, fusee and verge escapement, continental cock. Gilt dust cap. Very good condition,in fitted case with long twocoloured gold pierced key.. Diam. 78 mm. François Louis Godon was watchmaker to the King of Spain. A characteristic of his work was to place the minute numerals inside the hour ring, as they are indeed on this watch.
