Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1880. Rare 18ct gold hunting-case keyless watch with independent fly-back chronograph, re-uniting split-seconds hand and 1/4 seconds diablotine.

Nickel-plated, two-train with differential winding, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance breguet balance spring. In good condition. Diam. 58 mm.

Note: The chronograph work on this watch is of a most unusual form. The operating buttons are in the bezel and the action comprises a start/split/re-unite and fly-back mechanism using the independent centre-seconds train.
