Piguet Meylan, Swiss, made for the Chinese market No. 640, circa 1810. Fine and very rare 18 ct. gold, enamel and pavé, pearl-set quarter repeating watch with a matching key.

C Entirely decorated with graduated split-pearls in form of a lotus flower against a bine translucent background. Gold cuvette decorated with a blue translucent enamel pallet pattern ( small restoration). D. White enamel, with separate Roman hour chapter ring and subsidiary seconds below. Blued steel scoties hands. M. Gilt brass with bridges, flat balancespring, monometallic balance with 3 arms, cylinder escapement Good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
