Two-body, guitar-form, the body overlaid with translucent red enamel over a chased ground, rose-cut diamondset string board, gold strings, gold tuning keys and horse?s head terminal, the spring-loaded hinged back decorated with an en grisaille painted on enamel scene of an elderly gentleman and an hour glass representing the passing of time. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute track, winding aperture at 2 o?clock. Blued steel ?Breguet? hands. M. 23 mm., frosted gilt, full plate, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, continental balance cock, silver regulation dial. Movement signed. Dim. 80 x 28 mm.
