Cal. 19???, gilt brass, skeletonized and hand-engraved, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Gérald Genta born in 1931, from an early age he showed a talent for drawing and painting. He began designing watches in 1952. In 1969, after having designed many of the ?best sellers? of the Swiss watch industry, including Audemars Piguet?s ?Royal Oak?, Omega?s ?Constellation? and ?Seamaster?, and Patek Philippe?s ?Nautilus?, he founded his own brand. In 1998, he sold his company and brand name, but returned to horology in November 2000, when he created an entirely new line of watches under the name Gérald Charles.
