"Thin Quarter-Repeater" La Croix, a Geneve, No. 7045. Made circa 1840. Fine, slim, quarter-repeating, 18K gold pocket watch with duplex escapement.

C. Four-body, "bassine et filet", coin-edge band, polished bezel, engine-turned back with polished border and central vacant cartouche. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel "fleur-de-lys" hands. M. 43 mm., 19''', frosted gilt, duplex escapement with steel escape wheel, gold three-arm balance, flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Signed on the dial plate under the dial. Diam. 47 mm.
