V.Bousset(?), France, circa1880. Fine and rare Grande and Petite Sonnerie striking, repeating and alarm carriage clock, with thermometer and retrogade week day indication.

C. Moulded "gorge" pattern. D. White enamel with Roman hour and Arabic minute nmerals, subsidiary alarm setting ring. Florally engraved and gilt mask with apertures below for centigrade thermometer and retrograde week day, with engraved silvered scales. BluedsteelBreguet hands. M. Rectangular,brass,goingbarrels. Frosted and silvered platform with lateral lever escapement. Striking work on the back plate,with glass cover plate, the gongs and alarm bell in the base ,with selector slide on the back. Maker's punch on the platform. In good condition. Dim. 14.3 x 9.1 x 7.9 cm., excluding handle.
