Anonymous, French, circa 1885. Fine, and rare porcelain panelled gilt brass musical hour and half-hour striking,repeating and alarm carriage clock,, with fitted case.

C. Moulded 'corinthian'with dentilled frieze and Greek key handle. Porcelain side panels (one with virtually invisible hair fracture) and dial plate, decorated with young ladies in complete undress testing the water. D. White enamel cartoucheswith Roman hour numerals and gilt minute ring. Blued-steelt hands. M. Rectangular, brass, going-barrels. Frosted and silvered platform with lateral lever escapement. Striking on gongs with alarm setting disk on the back plate,musical train in the base, released at th end of the alarm , with selector slide on the back. In good condition. Dim. 17 x 10.4 x 9.1 cm., excluding handle
