Vulliamy, London, No.1319 ,hallmar ked 1836. Very fine and rare solid silver mantel timepiece on stand.

C. Massive, cast and chased with elaborate shell scrollwork and acanthus foliage, surmounted by an open Bible (master mark B.S). Attached to the convex moulded base with similar applied decoration, the front panel with a shallow engraved presentation inscription. D. Gilt brass, engine-turned with engraved Roman numerals. Pierced blued-steel spade hands. M. Circular brass plates, fusee with chain, half dead-beat escapement with half-seconds pendulum and rise-and-fall regulation. Signed on the dial,case and movement. In very good condition. Dim. 39 x 21 x 16 cm.
