C. Hexagonal base of ebonised fruitwood, the turned column with silver figure of Christ, surmounted by gilt flattened globe and silver crowing cock. D. Revolving globe with applied silver chapter-band and Roman numerals. Blued-steelpointer (replaced). Gilt-metal bun feet. M. Hexagonal, gilt brass plates and turned pillars, the back with a border of engraved arabesque foliage. Engraved fixed barrels,verge escapement, the crown wheel potance pierced and engraved with astag hunting scene. Plain two-arm steel balance with bristle regulator. Engraved and pierced irregular cock, stackfreed with gilt brass snail,blued-steel wheel. Hour striking on a bell in the base with counter-sunk blued-steel locking plate. Punched maker's mark on backplate. In very good condition. Dim. 29.5 x 12 x 12 cm.
