Four body massive, "bassine et filets" entirely chased with oak leaf and floral foliage, the cover with half-length oval enamel portrait of Napoléon III with engraved phrase:" Libérateur de l'Univers", back with similar portrait of his wife Eugénie Montijo (slight scratches to surface glaze). Gold cuvette with high relief taille-douce portrait of Napoléon lst, as Emperor within laurel wreath and matted border. D.White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Fancy blued-steel hands. M. 18"' , frosted and gilt, bar caliber, 17 jewels, pivoted detent escapement, gold 'scape wheel, cut bimetallic balance, blued-steel balance spring with terminal curve. In good condition. Diam. 48 mm.
