Unique half plate fusee movement with a very unusual mixed lever detent escapement, circa 1880. Without dial, in a later case. This unique experimental escapement is mainly based on the principle of a Robin. However, the lever has no fork but uses two passing springs, engaged by a sapphire wedge roller. Impulse is conventional. Charles Frodsham, 84 Strand, London, No. 04808. Three quarter plate movement with a late form of English lever escapement, circa 1875. White enamel dial and blued-steel "spade" hands.
