Frédéric Courvoisier, La Chaux-de-Fonds, made for the Spanish market, circa 1850. Rare and very fine 18 ct. gold hunting-cased pocket chronometer with one minute tourbillon regulator.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", engine-turned. Gold cuvette engraved with a small lakeside landscape with a castle and a fisherman. D. Regulator type, silver, engineturned in a floral and foliage pattern with gilt floral decoration, independent chapters for hours in Roman numerals, minutes and seconds in Arabic numerals. Blued-steel arrow hands. M. 19"' frosted and gilt three-quarter plate with going barrel, 15 jewels in gold screwed settings, pivoted detent escapement, two-armed cut bimetallic balance with gold poising screws, Breguet balance spring. Polished steel threearmed tourbillon carriage with gold weight, driven by the minute wheel. Signed on the dial and the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 52 mm.
