Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1880. Extremely rare and fine 18 ct. gold moon-phase astronomical keyless watch with fly-back perpetual calendar and detachable sundial.
C. Three body, massive, "pomme et gouge", polished with reeded band. The removable gold cuvette, engine-turned with a plume pattern set with a folding universal equinoctial sundial and a magnetic compass and bubble level. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, sunk subsidiary dials for the months and seconds, apertures for moon-phase and week days, and a sector for the fly-back perpetual calendar. Bluedsteel "s?ade" hands. M. 19"', nickeled, "fausses côtes" c ecoration, with a gold train of wheels, 17 jewels, counterpoised adjustable straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring.
