P. Orr & Sons, Madras, No.11950, Swiss, made for the Indian market, circa 1890. Fine 18 ct. gold half hunting-cased, minuterepeating keyless watch with split-second chronograph and 30 minute progressive recorder.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, with blue champlevé enamel Roman numerals on the edge of the dial aperture. Gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph ring, sunk subsidiary dials for seconds and minute register. Blued-steel "spade" hands. M. 20"' three-quarter plate, frosted and gilt, 21 jewels in gold screwed settings, English jewels lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Split second chronograph with push-pieces in the band. Signed on the dial and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
