Anonymous, probably made in Locle, Swiss, No. 41627, attributable to Ernest Guinand,circa 1875. Extremely fine 18 ct. gold, hunting-cased keyless pocket chronometer with one-minute tourbillon regulator.

C. Four body massive "bassine et filets", entirely engraved in high relief with formal foliage patterns, the cover with monogram "M.P.". Glazed gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman and Arabic numerals, sunk suBsidiary seconds. Blued-steel "spade" hands. M. 20?glazed nickeled with "fausses côtes" decoration, 15 jewels, pivoted detent escapement with gold 'scape wheel, two-armed cut bimetallic balance with gold poising screws, blued-steel balance spring with terminal curve and arc limiting pin. Ernest Guinand first-type polished steel tourbillon carriage, driven by the minute wheel. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
