Marcks & Co. Ltd.Bombay & Poona, No.957, Swiss, made for an Indian Maharajah, circa 1900. Magnificent 18 ct. gold and enamel pearl-set and diamond inlaid hunting-cased minute-repeating keyless watch with chronograph and progressive 30 minute recorder.

C. Four body, massive, "pomme et gouge" with split-pearl set bezels, the cover of translucent red enamel with central rosette lavishly inlaid with old cut diamonds on a translucent green enamel, the reverse with a similar panel, enamelled with a steeplechase. Gold cuvette with half-length portrait of a Maharaja painted on enamel in the manner of Juliette Herbert. D. White enamel with Roman nmerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph ring, sunk subsidiary seconds and minute register. Gold Louis XV hands. M. Glazed 19"', frosted and gilt, three-quarter plate, 33 jewels, counterpoised adjustable straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, polished Breguet balance spring. Minute-repeating on gongs with slide in the band, visible chronograph work with push-piece in the band. Signed on the dial and movement. In perfect condition. Diam. 56 mm.
