Unsigned, probably Geneva, circa 1880.Fine and rare 18K rose gold, set with diamonds and pearls, keyless pendant form watch designedas a shield.

C. Four-body, spring-loaded front medallion covering the dial with applied bird sitting on a tree branch with two diamonds on top and bottom, applied gold, diamond- and pearl-set floral appliqués on engraved background, top and bottom with applied gold crests, polished band and back, gold hinged cuvette. D. Oval, enamel, the circular white center with Roman hour chapter and outer minute ring, the top and bottom painted with flowers on light blue background. Blued steel, "spade" hands. M. 26.7 mmgilt brass, 10 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm gilded balance, flat balance spring, pin-set.Dim. Height 37 mm, width 31 mm.
