Thomas Engel, No 23, made for Zenith No 5537264, circa 1983.Very fine and rare 18K gold, keyless, astronomical ?Chronomètre? pocket watch with phases of the moon, days of the week and special dial, accompanied by a ?Bulletin de Marche? with ?especially good results?.
C. Three-body, ?Empire?, screw-down back cover decorated with elaborate engine-turning, polished band and bezel, gold glazed cuvette, ball-type swiveling pendant functioning also as a winding device. D. Silver, regulator type, hour chapter with Roman numerals set to the left, days of the week to the right and subsidiary seconds, with aperture for phases of the moon at the bottom, center minutes with outer dot divisions, center and outermost ring engine-turned and whitened. Blued steel Breguet hads. M. 40 mmø, rhodiumed, ?fausses côtes? decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating balance spring, with outer terminal curve, "swan-neck" micrometric regulator.Signed on the dial with initials ?TE?, case and movement engraved Zenith.Diam. 50 mm.
