M. Gezairlian, Swiss movement in English case hallmarked for 1851, made for the Islamic market.Fine and unusual 18K gold, enamel and diamonds, hunting cased, double-train, independent dead-seconds pocket watch with 12-hour register, days of the month indications and special escapement.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", both covers centered with diamond-set bouquets of flowers on translucent, dark blue enamel over engine turning, polished band with a bolt at 5 o'clock to engage/disengage dead-seconds, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, eccentric hour and minute chapters set at 3 o'clock with Turkish numerals, at 9 o'clock dead-seconds register, subsidiary seconds, at 12 o'clock days of the month in Turkish numerals, outermost dead-seconds divisions. Blued steel Breguet hand. M. 41.8 mm, gilt brass, 18 jewels, ruby duplex escapement with brass escape wheel, cut bimetallic compensation balance with ruby staff as well as impulse pin, blued steel flat balance spring.Signed on the dial, one name probably in Turkish.Diam. 51 mm.
