Painting of a Chinese juggler in gilt bronze frame flanked by two pieces of malachite at the lower sides, sitting on a silvered rectangular base molded in alternating floral and chain-link patterns, hardstone rectangular base, push-piece at the top revealing the hour and minute apertures. D. Concealed in the painting of a sitting Chinaman juggling with a blue egg in one hand and an ace from a deck of cards in another, the egg covering the hour aperture, the ace the minute aperture, both hoursand minutes in Arabic numerals. M. 42.8 mm, brass three-quarter plate with going barrel, pin pallet Roskopf escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring.Signed on the movement, movement stamped also with Swiss patent No. 122387.Dim. 101 x 75 mm.
