?Quarter Repeater? John Bennett, "Maker to the Royal Observatory and the City Observatory", 65 & 64 Cheapside and 62 Cornhill, London, case No. 18773. Fine, hunting-cased, keyless, quarter-repeating, yellow gold pocket watch with date and day, Turkish dial and English lever escapement.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filet", entirely engine-turned, hinged cuvette with inscription. D. White enamel with Turkish numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the date and day. Yellow gold "spade" hands. M. Cal. 18???, nickel, bridge caliber, "fausses côtes" decoration, 27 jewels, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Case signed and numbered. Diam. 49 mm.
