?Lantern Clock? Unsigned, central Europe. A 19th century replica of a lantern clock made circa 1720. Fine lantern clock with alarm.
C. Brass posted frame with winged angel frets to the front and sides, plain side doors, 4 turned vase-shaped finials supporting the top-mounted bell beneath straps and a final, wall hoop and 2 spikes. D. Wide brass chapter ring with radial Roman numerals, fleur-de-lys half-hour divisions, inner quarter-hour track, central alarm setting disc. Blued steel single hand. M. Weight driven going train, verge escapement with short bob pendulum, heart-shaped pivot plate, weight-driven verge alarm mechanism. Dim. 26 x 10.5 x 10 cm.
