"Capucine" Unsigned, French. Made circa 1835. Fine, brass, eight-day going, hour and halfhour striking, Capucine clock with alarm.

C. Brass rectangular with lateral and back doors, bell and 2 finials at the top, gilt brass leaf decorated bezel, raised on four turned brass feet. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel ?Breguet? hands. M. Brass rectangular full plate with cylindrical pillars, going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, anchor escapement, pendulum with brass bob, silk suspension regulated by a knob on the back of the top panel, rack striking work on the back plate. Pull-wound alarm train also striking on the bell. Dim. 30 x 11.5 x 8 cm.
