C. Rectangular, inlaid with silver and tortoiseshell, Corinthian columns, molded top, gilt brass torch finial, fluted gilt brass feet, hinged front and back door. D. Gilt brass ring with cham-plevé Roman numerals, inner quarter-hour divisions and outer sixtyminute radial Arabic figures, black velvet background, lower part with applied gilt brass appliqué depicting the chariot of Helios. Elaborate gilt hands. M. Square, 110 x 110 mm, going barrels for both going and striking trains, Brocot escapement, steel pendulum with brass bob, spring suspension, brass count wheel on the back plate, striking on a bell mounted on the top of the case. Dim. 53 cm high, 35 cm wide.
