?The Windmill? French. Made circa 1890. Fine and very rare, gilt and silvered brass table clock in the form of a windmill with rotating sails, barometer, Fahrenheit thermometer and Centigrade thermometer.

In the form of a windmill, turret roof with triple-arrow finial, gilt brass upper section with balcony and housing the clock and barometer, mercury centigrade thermometer on one side, alcohol Fahrenheit thermometer on the other, silvered lower section with door and windows, stepped circular base, the sails rotating with the action of the movement. D. Silvered with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, frosted gilt center. Blued steel hands. M. Circular, brass, large going barrel, anchor escapement, spring suspension with Y-shaped arrangement connecting to the pendulum which animates the sails, micrometer regulator. Height 43 cm.
