Notes

Barrow-In-Furness was one of the major British shipbuilding yards of the 19th and 20th Centuries. This chronometer would have been bought from Thomas Mercer Ltd and supplied by W. T. Story for a ship being built for a Hispanic client. The indications on the power reserve dial are in Spanish.
