?Coach Watch? Probably Friedburg (German). Made circa 1770. Fine, brass, coach watch with quarter-repeating and alarm and leather fitted traveling case.
C. Two-body, ?bassine?, polished. Leather covered fitted outer traveling case. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic 5-minute numerals, brass dial plate with engraved decoration. Pierced and engraved gilt brass ?Louis XV? hands, steel serpentine alarm hand. M. Gilt brass, full plate, ring-turned pillars, fusée and chain for the going train, standing barrel for the alarm, lateral lever escapement mounted on a platform on the back plate, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, pierced and engraved English-type winged balance cock. Diam. 13 cm., case ca. 14 x 14 cm.
