"Platinum Chronographe Rattrapante, Perpetual Calendar," Blancpain, "Chronographe Rattrapante, Perpetual Calendar," No. 54. Made in the 1990s. Very fine and rare, astronomic, platinum gentleman's wristwatch with round button split-seconds chronograph, registers, perpetual calendar, age and phases of the moon and a platinum Blancpain buckle. Accompanied by a fitted box.
C. Three-body, solid, polished, stepped bezel, sapphire crystal. D. White with applied white gold radial Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, the days of the month, the week, the months and the leap year, graduation for the age of the moon, aperture for the moon phases. Luminous white gold "baton" hands. M. Cal. 5581, rhodium-plated, "oeil-de-perdrix" decoration, 29 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, micrometer regulator, push button at 10 to operate the split-seconds hand. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 34 mm. Thickness 12 mm.
