Lequin & Yersin , Fleurier, made for the Islamic market, circa 1880. Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel hunting cased minute repeating keyless watch, with a matching chain, a seal and a key.
Five body massive "bassine et filets" case, an engraved coat of arms on the cover over a turquoise champlevé enamelled background (slightly restored), the back with a fine bunch of flowers painted in their natural colors over a turquoise background (slightly restored). Gold cuvette engine turned on the edge. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "pear" hands. Glazed fine nickel plated 20" movement with a gold train of wheels, 29 jewels, equilibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band. Signed on the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
