A. Golay Leresche & Fils, Genève, circa 1880. Fine 18 ct. pink gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless moon phase astronomical watch with perpetual calendar and chronograph.

Four body massive "pomme et filets grande gouge" polished case. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph rings, subsidiary inset dials for the days of the week, the months with inner leap year cycle, the dates and the subsidiary seconds with inner moon phase aperture (nearly invisible hair crack below the moon). Blued steel "spade" hands. Fine nickel plated 19' movement, "fausses côtes" decoration, 33 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band, the chronograph with a visible work, the push piece on the band. Signed on the dial and the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 56 mm.
