Dent, Watchmaker to the Queen, 33 Cockspur Street, London, No. 30804, circa 1890. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel hunting cased minute repeating, "grande and petite sonnerie" keyless clockwatch.

Four body massive "bassine et filets" polished case, the slightly Iater cover with the champlevé enamelled monogram: "F.R.", the head of a lion on the slightly Iater back. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. Fine gilt brass double train three quarter plate movement, two barrels with a differential winding, 42 jewels in screwed settings, English lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel balance spring with a terminal curve. Grande and petite sonnerie with strike/silent and optional hours/quarters levers on the bezel, repeating on gongs by means of a boit on the band. Signed on the dial and the movement. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
