Unsigned, probably Sylvain Mairet, Swiss, No. 2121, circa 1840. Rare and elegant 18 ct. gold watch with a regulator dial and a thermometer in the mariner of Sylvain Mairet with a small gold chain and a gold male key. Three body massive "Empire"

Three body massive "Empire" engine turned case with reeded band. Gold engine turned cuvette engraved with the principal technical features. White enamel dial with an offset small Roman hour ring, symmetrical small Arabic minute ring, a sector above for the Reaumur thermometer and a small subsidiary second dial below. Blued steel Breguet hands. Very fine and slim gilt brass 17.5- bar movement, 15 jewels, the going barrel with a female winding hole, Sylvain Mairet type lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. In very good condition. Diam. 44 mm. It is worth while to point out this watch incorportes many features, such as the dial, the caliber and the escapement, of the watches produced by Sylvain Mairet.
