Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1890. Rare and unusual 18 ct. pink gold and enamel hunting cased keyless minute repeating watch with automatons.

Four body massive "demi-bassine et filets" case, the cover with the champlevé enamelled monogram: "H.P." over an amati background with further engraved foliage decoration. The back with a fine portrait of Marechal Mac Mahon, Duc of Magenta, painted on enamel, further finely chased decoration similar to that of the cover. Gold cuvette engraved with the principal technical features. Small blue and white dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and gilt decoration. Father time and cupid enamel painted automaton Jacks set on each side of the dial over a black background, striking hours and quarters on a bell held by another cupid. Paste set gold hands. Fine glazed nickel plated 1 8 ' movement, "fausses côtes" decoration, 35 jewels, equilibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band. In very good condition. Diam. 56 mm.
