Drocourt, No.12755, French, made for the British Market. Circa 1890. A rare oval "Mignonette" carriage clock with "Sèvres" style porcelain panels.
Gilt-brass moulded case (re-giIt) with foliate engraved decoration, panels on three sides decorated with polychrome landscape scenes and figures in 18th century costume on a pink ground. Chapter-ring with Roman numerals. Blued-steel "spade" hands. Rectangular brass movement with going barrel, silvered lateral lever platform escapement. Signed with the makers's punchmark on the back plate. In good condition. Dim. 8.1 x 6.2 x 5.2 cm. excluding handle.
