Fratres Huaut pinxerunt, circa 1695. Rare 20 ct. gold and enamel watch case with a Iater movement.
Double body bassine case painted overall on enamel, the principal scene depicting Messidor and Appolon.The frieze on the band with altemate ribbon knots and four small landscapes, the signature on a small cartouche, a castle with a tower painted inside the case on the enamel backing, with a fisherman on the foreground. Later gold bezel pendant and bow. To white enamel dial contemporary the movement, with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold Louis XV hands. GiIt brass full plate movement signed: "Cabrier London" on the back plate, with "amphores" pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with a plain steel three armed balance and an English cock. Silver dust cap engraved with the signature. Diam. 36 mm.
