Roman Melly & Roux à Constance, Swiss, No 4470, circa 1800. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel pearl set watch with the portrait of Franz Count of Enzenberg, with an early manuscript identification of the Count.
Double body Louis XVI case with split pearl set bezel and border, the back enamelled with a fine portrait "en grisaille" of the noble man, framed by paillonné decoration. White enamel dial with Roman numerals. Blued "serpent" hands. GiIt brass full plate movement with conical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with a plain three armed brass balance, a continental cock and polished steel endpiece. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 50 mm.
