Double body "Louis XVI" case with rose diamond set bezel, the back with pellet borders, a wreath of raised green enamel leaves interspersed with rose diamonds enclosing an engine turned panel enamelled en grisaille with a maiden fanning the Altar of Love over an umber background. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and diamond inlaid divisions. Rose diamond set Louis XVI hands. Full plate gilt brass movement,with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass three armed balance and polished steel endpiece. Signed on the dial and the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 40 mm.
