Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1890. Fine 18 ct. gold hunting cased minute repeating moon phase astronomical keyless watch with perpetual calendar and chronograph.
Four body massive "bassine et filets" polished case. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute and chronograph rings, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months with the leap year cycle, the dates and the subsidiary seconds with inner moon phase aperture. Blued steel "pear" hands. Fine gilt brass 18' movement, 29 jewels, equilibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the hand. The chronograph with visible work, the push piece on the band. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
