?Danish Pocket Detent Chronometer? Carl Jensen, Kiöbenhavn, No. 27. Made circa 1840. Fine and rare, 18K gold and enamel pocket chronometer with pivoted detent escapement.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", back engraved with foliage, coin-edge band. Hinged gold cuvette with white and translucent royal blue enamel floral decorations and technical description. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel pierced hands. M. 40 mm, engraved bar caliber, pivoted detent escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, jeweled to the 3rd wheel, entire escapement with endstones.
