?Cupid?s Blessing? Swiss, Geneva, goldsmith?s mark ?FJ?, No. 3474. Made circa 1820. Very fine and rare, 18K gold, painted on enamel and champlevé enamel snuff box.

Oblong with bowed front, canted back corners, hinged lid decorated with a finely painted on enamel triangular panel depicting two lovers in a rocky river landscape, cupid seated in a boat beside them, geometric pattern border decorated with engine-turning, white champleve enamel and gold stylized flower heads against a black ground, the sides and base decorated to match. Punched with master mark ?FJ?. Dim. 98 x 70 x 18 mm. Property of a European Collector
