?Bloodstone and Ruby? Pietro Debaussie, in Roma, No. 594. Made circa 1760. Very fine and extremely rare, 22K gold-mounted bloodstone and ruby pocket watch.
C. Two-body, the back carved from a single piece of bloodstone mounted in gold, the bezel in gold with six applied rubies in cartouches, ruby-set thumb piece. D. White enamel with painted black radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with black five minute Arabic numerals, winding aperture between 3 and 4. Gold ?Louis XV? hands. M. 36mm, hinged, frosted gilt fullplate with square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm balance with flat balance spring, double-footed foliate and engraved balance cock, silver regulation dial.
