Two-body, the front with the initials "MDP" within an elaborate frame of white, green, translucent imperial blue, and red enamel, depicting Cupid's attributes - quiver and arrows, musical instruments, two doves with laurel-leaf wreath, symbolizing love and building the family home, and flowers. The back centered with a finely painted on enamel scene depicting a young lady and her suitor in a rose garden with a lake and mountains in the background, elaborate green, red, white, and blue champlevé enamel frame forming cornucopias, doves and flowers. Punched with the goldsmith?s initials on the pendant. Diam. 61 mm. Property of an Italian Collector
